New: You Can Now Create Maps in Google Drive

Here is a  new update released by Google a couple of days ago. Google My Maps, (former Maps Engine Lite) which is Google's tool for creating custom maps, is now integrated with Google Drive. You can now access My Maps right from your Drive account and from the same menu where you access your Docs, Slides and Spreadsheets.

To create a custom map on Google Drive, click on "New" then "More" and select "My Google Maps".



In addition to accessing your Google My Maps in Drive, you can now add more layers and points of interest to your map, import bigger spreadsheets and include more details in each info box. Also, Over the next week, all the maps you’ve created will also be accessible in Google Drive, so you can easily organize, manage and share them.
